The data held by the ADA is searchable through the dataverse faceted catalog. The searchable metadata complies with Data Documentation Initiative standards. This includes topic classification with ANZSRC FoR code and keywords conforming to controlled vocabulary provided by APAIS.

Each dataset on the ADA catalog has the recommended citation of this dataset prominently displayed under the dataset title. ADA uses unique Digital Object Identifiers (DOI) for each data sets minted via the Australian National Data Service ANDS via datacite. These DOIs are included in the citation of the dataset.
